I'm talking watches, bags, whatever it is that they replica these days.

I saw that dumbass tyra banks talking about how it supports terrorism and blah blah blah.

So, are replica's evil or do you consider them an easy way to wear something that would normally cost way more.

Example, I got my wife this watch

Instead of paying hundreds of dollars, I got it for under 80. It looks great, works great, feels great, I dont see the problem :think2:

buy the gf prada/gucci bags in NYC all the time...can't tell the difference and a hell of a lot better paying $20 instead of $1000 for a freaking leather handbag....

Actually have a good Folex that a jeweler had a hard time telling the difference, said it was one of the best fakes he'd ever seen (actual movements/box/Rolex hologram/etched glass etc) that is usually missing on fakes...only 100 bucks and still runs after 2 years

People buy them for the wrong reasons, just as they usually by the real thing for the wrong reasons. Buy a watch that makes you happy and not for image reasons. If you're buying it simply because it looks good and does the job then that is all that matters. If you're buying it hoping that people think better of you in some way, then my post isn't going to change your mind anyway.

Im with ya bro, my wife is an anti-label whore but I thought shed like that design and she did. Im not fooling anyone either, but I thought that rolex was pretty sweet looking.

It has a pretty sweet design on the back of it as well, etched into the watch. must be something to do with the daytona race.

Not really sure about the terrorism thing but not sure I agree with stealing a brand and fucking a company.

Time, I agree with you, however, would you say true or false that some of these companys are charging for a name alone and not true quality. Not saying all, but certainly when you sell a bag for 1000+ that is for the brand name. Same with sunglasses that are not oakley (they do provide good sun protection)

I say its 100% true but its their own company. If people dont buy it would tell them to improve or maybe there is just something some people cant afford.

If the watch you showed was named Brucci no problem but to copy them exactly is bush league.

I'm not supporting anyone I don't like... I liked it when Tommy Hilfiger started yanking their clothes cuz gangbangers were buying them and sporting colors like 10 years ago..
I won't buy a CD unless I appreciate the artist.. if I can get a shortcut, or cheaper, I'm all about it..

sometimes quality does go down.. but with China and India in the mix, companies outsource the work.. then when their shift goes home, they bring in a new crew and make the knock offs..

the watches people have problems with sometimes.. I'd buy a decent watch and not have it break, rather then buy another one in a short period of time.. but I guess you can alway grab a different model and change it up..
But spending 200 on jeans, or 5k on a watch is unreal.. some handbags go for like 18k.. thats unreal

Thats kinda my point dj, I would never even dream of owning a rolex, I just dont care enough, but I really like the way this looks so why not.

Not to mention supposedly they have a year warrenty, im not banking on it, but would be nice if true

well i know the tiffanys jewelry they sell, depending on who you get it from will sometimes reimburse if you have problems.. and they do have problems with the silver peeling off..

Know A guy who flys right seat for an air freight co. He brought me back a fake Rolex. Had the auto wind not the Quartz movement you could not tell them apart.
I never felt comfortable wearing it but when the band on my seiko broke I wore it for a while, the gold started rubbing off. Oh well it only cost a hundred bucks, but you can get a decent Jap watch for that.
