I cleaned my temp files and the forum was zippity quick for me today.
And FYI deleted temp int files will do nothing but slow down a connection to a website. They're there to cache content so only new content needs to be downloaded from a website the next time you visit. So they're there to actually help you. Wiping them off will only slightly (practically unnoticeably) increase your computer speed because they use a little RAM, but most computers nowadays have so much it hardly changes anything. Unless you're using some big ass ugly looking thing from 1992. That doesn't have to do with speed of connection to website anyways, just the browsers initial load.
Yeah, I know shit motherfuckers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page is your friend.
Oh, and you're a fucking moron. They agree with me:
"Temporary Internet Files is a directory on Microsoft Windows computer systems. The directory is used by Internet Explorer to cache pages on websites visited by the user. This allows such websites to load quicker the next time they are visited."
So I'm not sure why you would post that.

The trouble is, as I'm sure you are aware, when the Temp files get too full IE wastes more time searching the temp files to see if it needs to download a new copy of that particular file...if you are on cable no need to have temp files higher than 200mb but most people will leave it at the default which is a percentage of your hard drive...some people will have 2gb of temp files...if Windows has to search through two gigs of dog porn to find the RX banner it may or may not have to download, it's gonna slow things down.
