unless kansas wins out, they'd probably pass oregon.
Yes, You may just be correct but all this does is beg for a playoff ! I still can't see what would be so difficult to have all the bowl games played like in the old days and then the 4 best survivors play off.#4 plays #1 and #3 PLAYS #2. If you recall Oregon got left out a few years back when Oklahoma went I think and of course We all recall when a 11-0 Auburn got left out ! The BCS sucks and yet the charade still goes on and on.

Kansas still has to lose, they are in if they go undefeated no questions asked.

Mizzou wins out and defeats an undefeated Kansas and avenges Oklahoma loss, they are in.

Oklahoma wins out, beats either undefeated Kansas or once-defeated Mizzou, they leap Oregon in BCS.

Trust me as a Duck fan, I would love to see them there but they still need help. Best case scenario, Kansas loses tonight to make it wide-open.

I do like their team though. I think they are worthy of a title shot if the win out.

I completely agree about a final 4 playoff. Diminishing the importance of the bowl games is less significant than establishing a more equitable system. The BCS could use the 4 major bowls as the quarter final round while the other bowls maintain their existing alliances.

BCS school presidents also argue that the extra 2 weeks would reduce valuable class time for the 4 schools in the playoffs. But how significant is this disruption compared to the NCAA basketball tourney with its 66 team, three week tourney?

Politics at its worst!:neenee:

There is no way Kansas wins out. Beat Missouri and OU ? Not happening with the schedule they have played this year.

Mizzou and Oklahoma won't jump Oregon unless the voters decide to vote Oregon way down and the other team way up.

It could happen. I would love to have that 50/1 on Oregon and take my chances.

Since they are probably a 5-2 shot now I guess the 50-1 looks ok:>) 50-1 at the beginning of the season was fair but you certainly weren't stealing anything

I didn't bet them before the season started but just before their loss at home to California when Oregon was rated in the top 10. My reasoning for wagering on them at that point was even though they had a tough schedule, their toughest games were all home games. Prior to the season starting, I would have thought that the road game at Michigan might have been an early stumbling block. Oregon fumbling the ball at like the 2 inch line has certainly cost Oregon a number 1 ranking.
By the way, Hilton has them currently at 8/5 which I would call ridiculous.

Kermit,

I like the reasoning and good luck on a great bet. The way things are going it's only fitting a 50-1 wins it
