Pac-10 vs SEC for the championship.

As long as Oregon takes care of 'Zona, UCLA, and OSU and LSU does business against Ole Miss, Arky, and the SEC title game Les Miles will get to put his money where his mouth is. Talking shit left and right, well here's your big chance. Really hope a team like Oklahoma doesn't jump Oregon if they get a win over Kansas/Mizzou in the Big 12 title game. That'd be really fuckin unfortunate. Either way, Oklahoma/Oregon would have it's way with the paper champs known as the LSU Tigers.

Anyone know if someone told Glenn Dorsey to quit his attention whore act? Really getting old.

IF the sooners can win out, I think it's gonna be real fuckin close between them and the ducks. I'd really like for my sooners to have a crack at Les Miles and LSU, but who knows if any of the three win out, never seen a crazy ass season like this one.

Way to go Addict. Oregon will now get beat by Arizona next week.

Oregon lost AT HOME

Oklahoma lost on the road.

If Oklahoma wins out, they should pass Oregon.

have to agree with whormoan here. not to mention the fact that the california loss is no longer looked at as a 'good' loss. i have a problem with teams playing in the national championship if they lose games at home. if youre the best, you dont lose at home that particular year. obviously scheduling comes into play and one year you might have a tough home slate and then the next year it might be a little easier. but still, dont lose to cal at home if you want to be national title contenders. then again, when they lost to cal, nobody at the time thought there was any chance it would be dissected as a possible L that keeps them out of the title gm

I know that some disagree, but LSU vs. Oaklahoma will match up the two best conferences this year...

Not to mention Oregon's big win over Michigan will look a lot less stellar when Mich ends up with 4 losses and is unranked. Oregon's win over ASU was against possibly the worst #4 rated team in the history of college football, and losing at home to Cal is becoming less and less excusable. Duckie fans will say it was a fluke ending and they should've won. That is true, but if you are a national chamionship caliber team, you BLOW TEAMS OUT at home as Oklahoma routinely has.

So should we take LSU's BCS trophy away? I really can't recall EVER hearing this argument when LSU lost at home to LSU and still played for the national championship, and USC lost an overtime game on the road, and had to settle for playing Michigan for the AP national championship. It's amazing how the little seeds whormoan plant actually grow into really poisonous plants.

they werent the best team in football that year anyway. the team that was the best, incidentally, was in the pac10.

They just get to keep the trophy for shits and giggles.

Oh boy, You are really going to rile whorebored up with that comment. But you are right, USC would have destroyed LSU and that pathetic offense.

Oregon is not the best team in football this yr.

I would even argue that WV has an equal claim to Oregon to play for all the marbles. WV lost ON THE ROAD to South Fla. If Oregon is gonna count losing to Cal as a "ranked loss", than WV can do the same. Pat White is every bit as good as Dixon in a different way, and Slaton as good as Stewart. The defenses are about equal, and other than USC, WV's Big East schedule was tougher than Oregon's Pac-10 schedule.

You know, I agree with you to some degree, but Kansas should be ranked ahead of all of them.

And Slaton isn't even in the same league as Stewart, you will see that for sure on Sundays. Where neither White or Dixon will ever play QB.

WV's big east schedule....HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm just assuming Kansas loses to Okl, or my point is moot. If KU wins out, they are in, no questions asked, and Oregon needs to be out. Oregon will NOT jump LSU if LSU beats Tenn or Ga in an SEC title game.

The Big East top to bottom has more quality teams than the Pac-10. That's a fact Jack

while i definitely think usc was the best team in college football the year lsu won it, wasnt that the year that, ironically, the trojans lost to cal at home in OT? or was that on the road? i honestly cant recall venue.

anyways, im not saying that the single most important criterion is to go undefeated at home.

but i just generally agree with whorman that you really cant lose at home and then bitch if another team jumps you in the bcs.

USC lost in overtime at Cal. Oh, and Oklahoma got the shit kicked out of them by four touchdowns....the game before the national championship! I love how people say the entire year IS a tournement, yet two the past five or six years a team coming off a loss still played for the title...and lost.

If LSU ends up playing UGA in the SEC championship it won't matter because LSU would lose. Oregon-LSU is far from a lock at this time.
