on a check you depoisted. I got 2 checks from the Greek in the last 2 weeks. The first one was under 2500.00 and the 2nd one was 4500.00. The first one went thru fine. National city is telling me there is a hold on the second one for 45 days becasue this is there new policy on international checks. Anyone else coming across this?
I am not sure what the law is regarding International Checks. I know on Domestic the longest the can place is 11 days.
What bank is it drawn upon? Ask the tellers at NCB to contact the foreign bank, I am assuming Canada, and have them verify funds.
45 Days is a joke, if not speak to the manager.
