I seem to be having issues the next day at wotk after a great night at the poker table. When I make more in one session of poker than I do all week at work it makes it tough. I get it in my head that I am wasting time and should just be gambling (poker).

Does anyone else have this problem and if you do what do you do to have a reality check. I am nowhere near quitting the job and playing poker for a living but it does enter my mind.

I'm probably more cocky and sarcastic at work after a paticularly good night.

Have a harder time getting out of bed and going to work after a bad night of betting actually, and of course I'm manic depressive to boot and beginning to think I have more than one personality.

I'm also obsessive compulsive, always doing things in fours and constantly feeling like my hands are dirty and constantly washing them :smoker2:

I usually lose so I will let you know when I win if I had a hard time going to work the next day...

Be careful with this kind of talk. How about take the WVU poker challenge so we can all analyze your skills?
:lolBIG:

Seriously though, If you are winning over a weeks salary on one night of poker then you are probably playing at limits above your means. You can lose a weeks salary just as well. What kind of shape would you be in if you lost 8 consecutive times? (2 months salary)

Remind me what the challenge was. I might take you up on it.

One of my favoirte gambling quotes of all time " When it starts costing you money to go to work than it is not time to quit your job and gamble".

I am not there yet but hope to one day:103631605

I quit my job and was making 10 x what I was making within 3 months doing the bonus thing.
