November 15th- Huge day in Michigan- First day of deer hunting season with a gun

This is huge in Michigan. It last's too the end of the month and tons and tons of people take off work, school, etc for this day.

Back in my 20's this was a huge bar nite for the guys back in the day when the deer "widows" went out when there men went north to hunt.

I never got into any form of hunting but this is huge here.

Same thing around here. My dad is a big hunter but I never got into it. Will be looking for the lonely ladies this weekend for sure.

The organization recently began to tabulate data from a two-year study of men with Diminutive Male Genitalia Disorder (DMGD) and has posted the results on its Web site, DMGD.org.

"These findings confirm what we have believed for a long time: Hunters just don’t measure up," says PETA’s Justin Jest. "They are apparently overcompensating for their failure to hit the mark in the bedroom by blowing small animals away in the woods."

it is called "D Day" in West Virginia. It was always a school holiday.

I went hunting one time and froze my ass off. Never understood the attraction to that.

Its huge in most of Pa., also. Always day off of school on Monday after Thanksgiving. Used to hunt but gave it up because became lazier and desire to keep warm if possible. Hope everybody kills about 5 deer a piece , though, as less likely to hit one with car rest of year. Also, love venison steaks which I get from friends and relatives who still venture out.
Much healthier than beef or pork because of little fat and taste better IMHO.
