Anyone else find themselves capping/making lines with nongambling related activities?

i hope this is right forum-- kind of offtopic but just curious.. sometimes I find myself putting total's or spreads on random stuff.. like walking to class about to take an exam, in my head I will say, "TOTAL: 88.5% OVER/UNDER" .. or if playing game of madden or pickup game of basketball sometimes i will jus randomly try to put a line on it.. LOL, random stuff like that.

anyway jus wondering if anybody else finds themselves doing similar things.:toast:

Just before Labor Day, I made lines whether or not a friend of mine would be back with his long time girlfriend.

6pk of beer is limit per side.

- On or before Thanksgiving, 2007. +200

- On or before Christmas, 2007. +150

- On or before Valentines Day, 2008. even

- On or before Labor Day, 2008. -500

He bet NO for all 4 and looking like the prick is going to cash the Thanksgiving play.

I'm always putting totals on stuff, especially time-related.

Over-under on how long it will take to get my food after we order, over-under on what time my wife will complain about the fact that I haven't done shit around the house all day, etc.

All you're really doing is assigning probabilities, and expressing those as lines rather than the more common percentages.

It's a fairly well known facet of psychology that people apply percentage chances to things all the time.
