the team wins, but his numbers dont impress. seems like albert has been the mvp of the titans squad this season. young is obviously still just a kid, but a season removed from being in the pro-bowl, i expected a bit more. granted, the talent level on the offensive side of the ball is limitted, but i still expected young to perform a bit better, individually, this season. regardless, im exctied to see him this monday night. after that bag of dick game they gave us last week, im ready to see Young in denver.

Kerry Collins is the best passer on that team, just Matt Schaub was the best on the Falcons!

Kerry Collins as a passer is 3 levels highr than Vince Young!

Young is stoopid!

I have never ever seen in my life, besides Warren Moon, a good african american QB. Doug Williams just had the benefit of a great team, great offensive line. He wasnt a good touch passer. Trust me. This number one sitting in Oakland, Russell, isnt any good either.

Why can't you look at a QB without bringing race or color into the mix?? Not only you, but the media does the same...Just say the guy sucks and move on...

Young is underrated, the Longhorn team that won rosebowl would have lost 4 or 5 without him. If you want overrated look to the 6 Pick Peyton Manning.

Overrated but wins. However he's better than Leinart for what it's worth.

whats funny to me is the media loves young and hates Eli. Put there stats next to each others and see who has superior stats. I think if Young played in New York he might be seen a little differently.

prior to answering the question is he OVER rated, we need to determine where he is rated at.

SO I'll ask, of the starting QB's in the NFL, where is Vince rated?

Once we get a # there, I can answer the question.

Over rated, yes, from a purely quarterbacking standpoint he is one of the worst in the league. However, he has other skills that get the job done and get Ws (which, to me, is all that really matters).

His WRs aren't very good, but I still don't think he would be a good QB even if he had Chad Johnson, Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison, he simply isn't a very good passer and likely never will be. Doesn't mean he won't be a winning QB.

Interestingly we are at the same point with Young as we were with Vick in his 2nd or 3rd year, their stats stink but they are winning games. Everyone kept going on and on about how Vick was a "winner" and his stats didn't really matter, which is what they are now doing with Young. Ultimately Vick didn't improve at all as a QB and both his growth and team's success were stunted b/c of it. I think Young will be a decent winning QB, but never a good QB. Unless his passing skills improve and improve greatly I think his team's success will also be limited to making the playoffs, winning a game here and there but ultimately getting bounced in rounds 1 or 2. You just can go deep in the playoffs if you can't pass.

Running QB's just don't make it in this league......See* Michael Vick

I don't necessarily agree with that. Running QBs that can't pass don't make it, but running QBs that can also pass have had good careers. McNair, McNabb, Steve Young, Culpepper, Cunningham all had very good careers. Culpepper now stinks, but he had 4 very good seasons in a 5 year span.

Vick was a horrendous passer and never improved as a passer. Young, although having horrible mechanics, is actually more accurate than Vick was. Who knows whether or not he will turn into a competant passer, I personally don't think he will.
