So Im thinking about selling my car, but I can't find the title paper.

I bought my suv about 1.5 yrs ago and bought it off a private dealer, Now PA is making me pay $23 to get a dupilicate, but I swear I never had 1 copy for this car in the first place.

Is there a quicker way to get a title?...They said I have to fill out this form and mail it in and so on. Just seems like a long drawn out process.

Any responses would be helpful.

Can't sell it without a title. Find it or get a dup(yes, you got one when you bought it).

here in Florida now they hold the title to your car unless you request a paper copy.

Only someone who knows about the rules in your state can help you.

I would start with the guy you bought it from.

When you sell it, make sure the DMV does their damn job. Me and the buyer of my old car both sent it the appropriate paperwork but the DMV listed it wrong. The new owner apparently left the car on the side of the road when it broke down, and 4 years after I last saw the car, I got a bill for $1400 for towing costs because the DMV screwed it up.
