are there any free webs that dont look like crap?

need a website for a friend and want to find him something that looks good and will attract people to the site..can i get something for him cheap or free that looks professional? i went to freewebs.com or something like that and they looked like crap.

Web designers are a dime a dozen. Try going onto craigslist look under services/computer. I don't know what everyone charges but it can't be too much considering the amount of competition.

Just use Wordpress or a similar CMS.

Great suggestion, I found a guy on facebook to build one for $300 and he does any of the updates I can't do myself
