I think it very easily could come down to a close contest between these two for who gets the number 2 spot in the Title game. Ohio State is done and has one loss. Look for West Virg. to do the same. However Kansas/ Missouri will eliminate the loser and then Okl. just might hang a 2 nd. defeat on the winner of Kansas/Missouri. Oregon and Oklahoma losing this weekend has played right into this quandry for the BCS. I hope it happens as I want the BCS to have another headache.:103631605

West Virginia should be ahead of Missouri in today's BCS. West Va is in very good position to be in the national championship game I think.

My point is not who is ahead right now because We already know that Missouri will have to beat Kansas and then most likely Okl. If either Kansas or Missouri should win their last two games.. that team will be in the Title game IMHO

WV has a chance but still a longshot. They still have 2 games to win and they haven't been winning in dominating fashion like they were.

Kansas will beat Missouri. I'm not so sure about them beating OU, but I'd love to see it happen.

If nothing else, this year is yet another mess that should make people want to consider a playoff system, but they seem to be so dead set against it, it probably doesn't matter.

i cant see shutting out Virginia Tech that easily

they still have a ranked Virginia team to play... if they beat them, then they play a ranked BC team in the ACC Champ game.

I cant see why they shouldnt jump ahead of Ohio St if they win the next 2. Im not saying that Va Tech should go to the title game, but they certainly should be ahead of Ohio St if they win the next 2.

the lack of a conf. champ game for the Big Ten hurts them

they lost to #1 LSU and #2(at the time) BC

they play a better schedule in a better conference. OSU losing to Illinois at home?

Who has OSU played this year? 2 MAC schools, Youngstown St, and a pathetic big ten schedule? Come on now...

Its critical if West Va passes Missouri today in the BCS. Even if Missouri wins out they probably don't pass a team ahead of them in the BCS and especially if they beat Kansas the strength of schedule component actually hurts them.

Kermit,
Feel free to read the BCS thread in the college football forum. I have broken WVU and Ohio St. (and Ariz. St.) down about 8 different ways assuming that they finish with 1 loss and there is virtually no difference.

It's a coin flip and is going to come down to voter preference of "early loss bias" of WVU vs. "tradition bias" of Ohio St.

WVU's QB White sucks. He is always hurt and he fumbles and gives it up way too many times.

I think it's gonna be LSU vs. West Va, with LSU winning by 60. But wouldn't be surprised to see LSU lose in the conference championship game either.

I guess finishing 3rd in the Heisman race will be a good indicator of suckiness.

I feel ya though. he opened up that damn backdoor

Heisman means nothing in this day and age. He gets hurt every game it seems and he fumles the ball.

Arizona State will lose next week to USC, so I don't see any way they will be part of the Title Game. However West Virg and Ohio State are very close but I think if West Virg wins out, they will maintain a slight lead over Ohio State whose season is over.
However if either Kansas or Missouri win their last 2 games, I believe they will jump over West Virg.
