Some of you guys might think this is just a joke by JJ but I have heard of guys that were paid by bookmakers and big money players both to do exactly what JJ is talking about at Wrigley Field as a regular job for the entire baseball season.
They have to carry these little wind meters that measured wind speed, wind direction (extremely important) and who knows what else, barometric pressure maybe. I assume for the stradegy to work best the weather guy would need a seat out in the beachers, get seated early and make regular reports by celphone as to the wind conditions until the game started.
To carry it even further either side could make good with the information if they were involved with in-game wagering. Keep the weather man calling in updated wind info throughout the game. That way the information does not become useless once the first pitch is made.
