Check that thread (who is the third best team in NFL), many people said pitt was #3. Mostly pitt homers of course, but still many put pitt third.

green bay probably needs to start getting some respect.

but i still think the nfl is:

new england
indy
3a) dallas
3b) pittsburgh

... and then the true second tier, starting with green bay.

Pittsburgh's O-Line played absolutely horrendous and most of the team played D-games. Big Ben played very well and was the bright spot for today.

What the hell is wrong with Troy Polamalu? He has not played well all year and continues to miss tackles and take bad angles.

As for Pittsburgh being soft against the pass......where have you been? Pittsburgh had the top passing defense in the league (stat wise coming into this game) and this is the best passing defense they have had in years. Dallas' pass D is 5x as bad as Pittsburgh's. Dallas is a lot more flawed than Pittsburgh is, they've just been getting reprieves when their flaws are exposed.

The jets are much better than their record. They have just been blowing games in the second half all season.

However, the jets pass rush is awful. Its borderline non-existent. For the steelers to give up 7 sacks is pathetic.

I am so sick of hearing this BS about stats, what is most important is who have those stats come against.

Name me 1 good QB that pitt has faced? They have faced one good team this year and somehow managed to lose 3 games. They are a product of their schedule and will get dismantled when they play anybody half decent.

Shaun Ellis looked like Freeney or Vanden Bosch today, Pittsburgh couldn't fucking block him. Ben actually got out of 3 sacks himself. Pittsburgh's O-Line was terrible today

Pittsburgh has beaten two teams with winning record, Dallas has beat one. Thus if you are going to argue Dallas, your argument is null and void on that account.

I am not going to defend any other team as much as I am blasting steelers. 2 winning teams and someone losing 3 games does not equal a good football team. At least dallas gets it done against the scrubs they have been put up against

Dallas should have lost to Buffalo though.

I'll agree that Pittsburgh played like shit today, these brain farts against inferior opponents are inexcusable.

Their problem is for the 3rd time this year they suffer a major letdown on the road and play like crap. They are still capable of beating anybody in the NFL when they are on. Strange because they are such a veteran team - they think they can just throw their helmets onto the field and roll and it's not the case. Have to blame part of it on coaching. The 3 games they lost they were not at all prepared to play the game - like they thought they were playing Notre Dame or something

Their main problem is their offensive line. It has gone downhill the last few years. No running lanes for Parker and not enough time for Ben. Mahan taking the place of Harting has been a major downgrade, Faneca is in the twilight of his career, Simmons and Colon are marginal at best...they need to play way better if they want to beat Ind/NE
