Odd Question: Why do all the packages I get in the mail have holes poked in them?

I order a lot of things online and ebay. Every package I get has a hole poked in it. Every single one without fail. Has anyone ever had this experience? Who is poking holes in my packages?

I have sent and received cash in mail (among other things) in the past, so this is somewhat of a concern to me.
