Anyone Know..What "Was" the HIGHEST Line on a NFL Game ??

With the Line that just Came out on the NE game ( -22 ) Has there been a Higher Line in the Past ??? I'm sure there has been, but What was it ?

And what was the Results ???

Do not want any game Pre-1960's Must be 1960's to Present..

San Francisco -23 against Cincinnati in 1993. There have only been about 7 games that have had lines of -20 or above I think



By the way, San Fran won 21-8 and didnt cover of course. I dont think that any of the big favorites have covered

1991 Bills -20.5 over Colts covered (Final score 42-6)
Same game 1992 they also covered -20

PO's example of SF -23.5 in '93 is the highest since 1989


These are closing lines though...who knows where this -22 will be by gametime

That's what I thought...The NFL is Not like NCAA...I know that NE is playing like No other team IMO..But Over 20 points is a LOT to give up on ANY PRO Team !!

I know they were -27 versus Tampa Bay in the same year...they won 42-0

i had SF that game, it was a sunday nighter and cincy played really well, relatively speaking. phil was something like -18.5 against someone bad who was also injured a few years back, o/u was like 34 too.
