Came on a substitute in the 80th minute or so in my first game back after 18 months out with a knee injury. I gave away a penalty with a sloppy tackle less than two minutes later. We lost 1-0 Ugggghhhhh.

I was up 5-0 in the third set (tennis) of a collegiate match. I choked it away.

I wrestled and played baseball in high school..during the wrestling season one of my opponents was a stae champion in New Jersey..needless to say he beat me up but didn't pin me...3 months later I was on the mound for my high school team and lo and behold, the guy who beat me during wrestling season was leading off...My first pitch hit him squarely in the back...he just laughed at me and proceeded to steal second and third...true story

HS soccer...we were playing a pretty big game, not playoffs or anything but we were both near the top of our conference. 2-2 in OT...I was playing sweeper and got a routine pass back from a midfielder. It was a wet night on fieldturf and the ball slid right under my foot as I tried to trap it. It rolled right in front of a forward who wasn't even in the play. I couldn't turn around and get to it in time and he easily beat the keeper.

I usually shake things off pretty well, but that one hurt.

I was hit in the ribs with a 96 MPH fastball from Rick Ankiel. Ended with 2 slightly cracked ribs and I couldn't move for 2 days.

Diving for a ball in college and my glove hit the short stops leg bending it back until the back of my hand was touching my forarm. Ended with 7 broken bones in my wrist and arm and had 9 pins and screws in my hand for 4 months.

I did that a lot except usually lost by more than 1 run, LOL. I was a giant (as a kid) and threw smoke but had no idea where it was going. One year led the league in walks, no-hitters and losses. In fact threw back to back to back no-hitters in a row and lost every game.

Worst moment came later when I learned to control the ball. One game away from going to Williamsport (LL baseball) and routine comebacker to the mound, one out from the game being over and I threw the ball a foot over the 1st baseman's head. We never recorded that last out, the team fell apart and we lost in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Hate to admit it but never forgot that play, even now over 25 years later. I don't drink myself in a stupor over it but if I think about it long enough (or someone starts a thread) I still get a sick feeling inside myself. How could I have done that? Went on to play HS and college ball but that was the worst feeling of them all.

Lost to a chick pitcher in D3 college baseball....I gave up 5 runs and we only scored 3....

I could tell you that she went on to be on the Lettermen show and play for the silver bullets....but the bottom line is I lost to a girl in men's college sports...

I hope so, but not sure. She was pitching at Whittier College in SCIAC back in the late 90's...I still have nightmares. That was a long bus ride back to campus....

LMAO OMG the memories. LOL I lost to this kid 5 times in one fucking year. He was a stud and won state that year. Seemed like everywhere we wrestled this guy was also there. Worst was losing to him at states. I have many SILVER medals that year. LOL 3 months later I was picthing (I was not good) He looks at me and smiles I smile bck and he seemed to know what was comming. He crowded the plate and I drilled him in the lower back. He just smiled went to 1st. I picked him off on the 1st try.

Coach asked what the hell was that. I said yeah I drilled him on purpose. Yold the coach this kid owned me on the mat and he was going to get a hit anyway so why not just hit him.
LOL My bad.

I got tripped up Zola Budd/Mary Decker style running the mile invite at the Penn Relays after 3.5 laps. I was on pace for a sub 4 mile.

I think that is the same chick. I have a couple of friends that played against her in college, one played at Claremont-McKenna, the other at Oxy. The guy that played at Oxy was a ridiculous athlete, I think he lettered in 4 sports at Oxy (baseball, hoops, tennis and golf), and played hoops in Europe for a while. He k'd against her. From what I saw of her she threw puss.
