Air Force.

Acadamies don't get much turnover in coaching unless it is of their choosing. Take a special kind to coach there.

Yes and very different for the athletes too because everyone is on a full ride in the academies so they arent the shit on campus

The only reason PaPA jOE IS STAYING IS BECAUSE HE WANTS HIS BOY TO TAKE OVER THE COACHING DUTIES WHEN HE LEAVES. bUT HIS BOY IS THE QUARTEBACK COACH AND HE IS BAD AT CALLING THE PLAYS. Little Papa and quarteback are always arguing on the sidelines. Big Papa had to seperate them many times this year.

Don't they have a new Head Coach this season?

Yes, but he replaced Fisher DeBerry who was there forever. I'm guessing 30 seasons. Not like DeBerry went somewhere else and was using the Academy as a stepping stone.

Just looked it up-DeBerry was there 26 years, 23 as a head coach.

Lavell Edwards is another one that was at BYU as long time.

I could see Zook leaving for a big-time job, maybe not this year but...

Adding Tennessee to the list. Top-notch facilities would make any coach jump to go there.
No chance. He's made Illinois into a big-time job in three years. We're going to be national title contenders next year, and he's been on the other side of the fence at Florida, where he knows the grass isn't any greener. Illinois and Ron Zook are a perfect fit. Probably the only place that he could have gone, where the people were excited to get him. He has truly built something strictly on his own, and there's a great love affair going on between Illini Nation and Zook. He knows that, is going to be making 2 mil within 3 more years, and has said publicly that he doesn't ever want to leave. I believe him. When he wins a national title at Illinois, it won't be because of tradition. It will be because of Ron Zook's recruiting and vision. And when he retires in 20 years, it will be Ron Zook Field at Memorial Stadium.
