I can't help you out as I don't play them but you may want to look into a mov (margin of victory bet). The other thing that you can do is play a pleaser. You give 6 points instead of getting. 2 team pays 6-1 and 3 team 17-1.

If the spread is +2 then it's -4 in a pleaser.

yeah i dont want to make a margin of victory bet, i would just like to play asu (-2.5) - (-6.5)

pleasers require you to select more than one team? ive never played those.

SIA has some props as to what the winning margin will be. Say A plays B. They may have something like
A will win by 1 to 3 points
A will win by 4 to 7 points
A will win by 8 to 12 points
etc
same for B
This may help you.

I'll watch the first couple hours before dinner, but then gotta sit at the table w/ the folks. I'm on the west coast, so can't just get the meal out of the way first like you probably. I'm just happy we're not doing the whole relatives thing this year, so at least it'll be chill. You playin all on the alternate line, or some ML and/or points?

Sounds good :103631605

Btw, what ever happened between you and Identity? Every time I popped into that site, I'd see you two going at it.

another option is action points, you bet so much ( say $100) on every point ( at -110) that the result differs from the spread, and cap it say 10 or 20 points), that would require $1100 or $2200 in this case. Greek has it, call in only.

You don't have to bet it big, here's an old post that describes it in a bit more detail. Few shops offer it, I think 5D stopped.

<hr style="color: rgb(51, 102, 153);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> For those who aren't familar with action points, from WSEX:

An Action Point wager allows a player to place a bet on how many points his/her selected team will beat the spread by up to a set cap. You can choose your own cap between 1 and 15 points on Pro-Football games. You choose how much you wish to bet per action point. When you place an action point wager, no money is deducted from your account, but your maximum loss potential is restricted from your account until the game is final.

You win the dollar amount wagered for each point the team covers by up to the selected cap. You lose 1.1 x (dollar amount wagered) for each point your team does not cover by up to the selected cap.

Here is a typical payoff chart:

Team A is -7.
You choose a cap of 10 points.
Wager amount is 10 dollars per point.
The amount restricted is 110 dollars. Team A Wins By 1 2 3 4 5 6
You Win/Lose -66 -55 -44 -33 -22 -11
Team A Wins By 7 8 9 10 11 12
You Win/Lose 0 +10 +20 +30 +40 +50

As you can see above, Team A winning by 17, you still only win $100 because of your cap, and below, Team A losing by 3, you still only lose $110.

-------------------------

Sort of like teasers. Some points are worth more than others. Lot of guys play these will really low caps in order to give up numbers like 2,1,pk which are less frequent, but make money on 3, 4 which are more likely. I bet them a lot two years ago, but in the end, I found that shopping and reduced juice on regular bets was a better use of my time.

Lot of guys play them for fun with big caps when they expect a blowout, I have never been able to find plays that did better that way, but the cool thing is even if you are winning or losing, every score still counts for or against you until the very end, even if the pointspread itself isn't in question. The ultimate bet for an action junky.

WSEX offers them online. 5Dimes and Olympic offer them over the phone fwiw.
