ok today on the UT/ texas a/m game i had the total over at 60.5. wasnt looking so good so i took some of the second half under of 28.5 to hedge. the over went over and i won my original bet. my question is, how often does it not go over your original bet but it does go over your second half bet thus screwing you on both bets? is there a typical percentage for this?

depends how big the gap is, and what key numbers are involved.

how does live betting factor into it? for instance, at wsex at halftime, the over for the texas/ texas am game was 60.5 at 30 dollars to win 70, so i jumped on it, at the same time, i grabbed the halftime line of under 28.5 at bet jamaica. so there was about a 2 point difference. im typically a 100 dollar per unit better so for this system, i won 30 dollars. if you can get one of the numbers at a significantly reduced pric as i did at wsex, does it greatly increase your odds in the long run?

so 29 and 30 points lose both ? 29 is nearly impossible, so 30 is the number to worry about. Determine chances of 30 points, go from there.

Bet sounds reasonable to me, off the top of my head.
