Luol Deng injury hasnt helped but they werent playing good with him either.... They cant rely on only shooting from the outside, they need some kind of inside scoring threat, until then they will be hot and cold. Their defense is why they have been good the past couple years and they are just not playing with the same intensity on defense this year... why i dont know but they just arent. I think they will turn things around, if they dont soon though Pax is going to have to shake something up and go after Kobe or Gasol
Part of the reason is the "Circus Trip", which will probably cease now that Bill Wirtz died. Main reasons though is Paxson falls in love with his players and will not trade them. They have no point guard (Heinrich is more like a 2), no one who will take it strong to the hole outside of Nocioni.

Ben Wallace is an albatross. He is awful now. Negative offense was alright when he was a defensive and rebounding madman. He's just going through the motions and is worse than useless. But they couldn't even trade him if they wanted to. Will be a big drag for years. If they had any balls they'd bench him and really see what Noah can do. Noah might be able to be some of what Wallace used to be.
