5dimes has Patriots a loss or tie in regular season @+165. Would I be better off betting the moneyline each week? this week the Ravens are +1275. Seems like I would be better off betting the Money line opponent each week at this point of the season.

Well the only game left that would help your moneyline bet would be Pittsburgh.

But I am not sure that you would make it to +165. Normally, what you are thinking is the way to go. But not sure in this one instance

You think they wont rest people against the Giants in Week 17?

Yes they will, at least in the second half. BUTTTTTTTTTT, I wouldnt expect that to affect the line very much as people will still bet on NE as long as they continue to cover most weeks until then

If you money line teams, there is no sense playing Mia or NYJ

If you look at this realistically and say only the Steelers and Giants have a chance to beat the Patriots then plan to only bet those teams. I'm sure you'll get around, or better than, +400 on them, making the ML a better bet.

Besides that +165 will have edged up a little by next week when the Steelers come to town.

who says the giants wont rest players either depending on their circumstance.

True ... If the other games were being played at the same time, they wouldn't have known and would have an eye on the scoreboard ... but its a Sunday night game, isn't it?

Its a Saturday night game, 12/29.

Then the Giants will certainly have something to play for ... even though it might not matter, they won't know it by Saturday night.

says who? they may already have there spot locked up from week 16. plenty of years teams cannot move up or down going into the last week of the season. most years teams cannot move up or down week 17.

The ONLY way the last game won't mean a postion in the standing is if they are up by 3 games going in to Week 17 (or up by 2 games with a tie-breaker advantage).

... and the way it looks now, the Giants won't be up by 3 games on anyone ... there is a posse chasing them at 5-6.

Not true, if they are up by 2 games w/o or 1 game with tiebreaker advantage it is meaningless.

They won't be a division winner, so there is no competition with Dal, GB, TB/NO or Sea. Right now they are up 2 games on every team except Det, over whom they hold tiebreaker. They will likely be locked into #1 wild card.
