So I'm heading to Paris for New Years and I don't know anything about the city... Making matters worse, most the restaurant reviews are in French.

I recommended Rio, but the girl who is coming along chose Paris, and given that she is much hotter than me, she won the debate.

So now I have to figure out what to do there... Will be there about 5 days, maybe 6. Obviously there are the museums and monuments. I think we'll probably spend a day out in Champagne and hopefully will be able to tour/taste Perriet Jouet and Laurent Pierrier....

I have no ideas where/what to do for New Year's eve. Where is the party scene in Paris?

Also any recommendations for great restaurants and/or relatively unknown cool sites to see would be appreciated.

Thanks

The poupular sites and the Louvre will take up 3 days easy. Don't miss the D' Orsay museum, I enjoyed it way more then the Louvre. I suggest taking a one day trip to Normandy. They pick you up around 6:30 am and you get back aroung 8:30 or 9:00. As far as food I didn't have a less then great meal the whole time I was there and really liked a place called Chez Rene in the Latin Quarter.

Sean, I've heard the best way to visit a city for the first time is to take one of those package deals where they drive you around to the spots. I realize they aren't for everybody but I hear they give you a few days to do things on your own or just rest up if need be.

Be sure to look into it before deciding not to.

Nothing wrong with whores, but this one is not one... Whores are good for an hour and they come to you.
