how can you keep Hawaii out of the national championship game?

Weak schedule, stuggle vs. weak teams...blah blah blah....this year, EVERYBODY lost and Hawaii survived....they were tested many times....down 14 on the road (twice), back up QB playing 95% of game, down 21 to a Pac 10 team (not good, but not as bad as their record).....They are barely being considered for a Sugar Bowl bid (last pick)....what is wrong with these ppl.....Utah won, Boise won (and they pretty much dominated 80% of the game before the miracles), and Hawaii undefeated (alone) will barely qualify for this?

who are we talking about?
Ohio St - no one wants them there but they qualify, why not Hawaii?

Georgia - lost to 4 loss team, lost to a .500 team, and didn't even play in title game....wtf??? how the hell can they be above Hawaii???? Hawaii gets shit for their close wins, not only did GA lose twice, they beat vandy by 3....only hawaii gets penalized for close wins.

Kansas - weak schedule....we all know it....didn't play in the title game....how can someone not even champ of their conf. be ahead of the only undefeated team in college football....and a conf champ. (also barely beat Colorado, A&M, KState...but only hawaii gets penalized for close wins)

Virginia Tech - 2 losses (abosultely raped by LSU)....yes, LSU but raped is raped....barely beat E Carolina and UNC...(but only hawaii gets penalized for close wins)

LSU - 2 losses but at least they won their conf (barely)...against better (SEC) teams, but lots of close wins

USC - not sure they are in the convo but lost to stanford....not even gonna continue...

I agree most of these teams (if not all) are probably better than Hawaii, would be favored by over a TD, but the record speaks for itself.....you can't penalize a team for winning every game in this year's college football craziness....they found a way to win when a lot of others couldn't....and they should be rewarded....we look at the 2 OT wins(and probably this one too), but seems like other teams have close wins vs. mediocre teams and NO ONE talks about that when considering others for the BCS NC....

Florida St would be 12-0 with that pathetic schedule. Hawaii doesnt belong within 1000 miles of a title game. And if they were in, I would strongly suggest FSU and other teams drop out of real conferences and play a joke schedule, go 12-0 then whine at the pollsters.

You can't be serious. Hawaii will likely be decimated in their BCS Bowl. They played a much easier schedule this year than Boise State did last year. And Hawaii barely beat some of the patsies they played. It's a joke that they are going to be in a BCS bowl.

If Florida played Hawaiis schedule how many teams would have stayed within 30 on them? Boise maybe? maybe....

I like Hawaii too. Congrats on the season. They've earned a BCS Bowl.

I agree and I think Hawaii would be .500 at best in the SEC....maybe a little better in the Pac10 but they went undefeated....

schedule was ridiculously easy but how can we penalize them? Not like they wanted the easy schedule...Michigan State paid $30 million to Hawaii this year to back out of the confirmed game....a few others (including USC) backed out last minute cause they were afraid....the weak schedule was because playing Hawaii is a "no-win" situation for big time teams.

They will be heavy underdogs in the BCS game (esp. championship), but to not give them the chance is not right. everyone else lost a game along the way (against a lot of easy teams so can't say for certain LSU or such would go 12-0 w/ Hawaii's schedule....no one has done anything to prove it)

I do agree that most of the time the weak schedule deserves nothing close to the championship...but everyone has to agree that this year is diff...if LSU, Mizzou, OK, Florida, USC, Kansas, or many others went undefeated (even 1 loss), then they deserve the nod over Hawaii, but this year is diff....

and whatever game they do go to....i wouldn't count them out.

would've been a good idea this year....but not worth it to hope for a crazy season like this happening....how many times have we seen #1 and #2 lose? FSU can't go 12-0 expecting all the top seeds to constantly lose...

...no offense taken....I'm just saying there is nothing else they could've done....and this is something no one else could do

UCLA beat Oregon without their QB.

Hawaii is going to get BLOWN out in their BCS bowl game. They need to pray they get WVU cause that one could be 55-50, but if they play anyone else, forget about it.

Why the fuk do they even have football at these school's when ignorant people like you and no playoff system in tact will NEVER give these teams a shot at a title. FYI they are UNDEAFTED my friend. PERIOD. Don't give me this shit about "well if they do it again next yr then maybe blah blah...". What a joke of a fan you are sir. The schedules are made 5 yrs in advance. Hawaii will be a big underdog in their bowl game. When people open their wallets the bullshit ceases and money talks. Feel free to hammer Hawaii on the moneyline in their bowl since you know so much more than me about the quality of that team.

Mr smith, I may not know half as much as you do about sports or even the hawaii fb team, but all i am saying is that because coll fb CHOOSES not to have a playoff system in tact the only fair thing to do is let them play the game. What you make it sound like is that 3/4 of the teams in div 1 fb should NEVER get a shot at the biggest game of the yr because of their schedule. Is what everybody say's every yr. Do you honestly think that this is fair?
