When you consider everything that was one the line.

Win and you play for the National Title.

Senior Night.

At home.

You are a 29 pt. favorite.

Against your hated rival who's had an awful season.

I've never seen a coach look so completely devastated and in a complete fog after a game as WVU's during his postgame press conference.

It certainly is right up there..I'm saying WVU the mod will resurface tomorrow...the wounds are a little tuff to lick...going to be a little tuff to get back in around 30 days and get refocused on winning a bowl game knowing you should have been playing in the championship game....

Good post.

They lost a game they needed to win prior to the natl championship game...NOT THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

If anything, the Missouri loss is more disappointing, since football strength is new to that school.

Tough losses are part of football.

WV wasnt even undefeated going into the Pitt game...get the hell over it already.

To make it even worse, they get paired up against one of the hottest teams in college foots for their bowl game-the Sooners.

The Okie loss to T Tech was a big blow to most big 12 fans, before that no matter who won at Arrowhead the winner of the big 12 was going to the BCS Championship.

I have to admit as a Tech alumn I loved it.

After you take bets for a while rather than placeing them, you become much less of a fan.

I think this was the most diastrous defeat in the history of W Va. & maybe in all college history.
IN 1950 Army was #2 in the nation 8-0 only behind Oklahoma 8-0 and only a 2-6 Navy was in there way. They lost 2-14 to a 3 touchdown underdog.

By far the most devastating loss I have experienced. I will never fully recover as i am going to have a hard time rebounding from this. The Fiesta bowl might as well be the independance bowl
