Cold Case watchers-question

Missed quite a few episodes but taped last week:

What happened to the boss (John)?

Saw him out fishing talking to the black guy who everyone was mocking as the old boss.

One of the great lines I ever heard was in this episode:
"I think I've lost my taste for it"-John
"Politics or the job?"
"Is there a difference?"

i dont watch much tv, but i'll sit and watch that show if its on and im home. i'll really only watch nature shows, true crime shows, comedy, and sports. i dont get into many of these things like heros and 24 and those kinds of things. actually...ive seen a couple episodes of house and shark that were good too. the first 48 is a good show.

as for cold case, im not sure when its on, but its a great one.

Lt. took the hit

I. A. wanted a 30 day suspension for Lil's partner, and the Lt. refused their reccomendation. So the captain suspended the Lt. instead.

(sorry can't remember the character's names right now.)
