Franchione, although he isn't technically in CFB any longer
Bobby Bowden (always thought he was a poor game coach)
Greg Robinson
I will give Weis another year before putting him on this list
Karl Dorrell was pretty bad as well, although, again, he is gone.

Bobby and Joe Pa both need to hang it up. Go out gracefully if you ask me.

Agree. BTW, how do you get an OSU grad off your porch?

I know you get a Michigan grad off your porch by tipping him/her for a pizza.

Funny thing is, my first college football game as a kid, my Dad took me to Alabama at Penn St. Joe Pa got his 200th win.

F'in Rich Rodriquez. What the hell has that guy done besides CHOKE in the "big game" and by "big game" I mean Pittsburgh a crap team at home. What a joke of a coach he is. Why anyone would want him is beyond me.

:lolBIG:, nice come back. I finished watching the HBO documentary last night and was cracking up at that old Michigan codger.

Bill callahan would have been on the list

2nd worst

Randy Shannon. That guy is in so over his head it is laughable.

I hope Booby Bowden and Randy Shannon stay at their respective schools forever!

Mike Riley

Three years ago I would have agreed with you. He certainly has trouble getting out of the gate. But look at OSU's finishes the past 4 years. When most teams would simply roll over and play dead (see Cal and Oregon), OSU has persevered and came out way better than most projected.

2007: Won 6 of last 7...bowl game pending
2006: Won 7 of last 8 including USC's first conference loss in forever, Hawaii in Hawaii, and Missouri in bowl game
2005: Sucked ass, breaking in new QB after Anderson goes to NFL and young secondary.
2004: Won 6 of last 7 and crushed ND in bowl
2003: 8-5, won bowl game in his first year.

So three of the past four years the team has kicked ass the back half of the season and is 3-0 in bowl games.

Riley is also coaching in Corvallis Oregon. Not LA, or Seattle, or Phoenix, or Tucson, or the Bay area.....Corvallis Oregon. Ever been there? Ever seen their stadium? I played high school football there...half of it remains the same dump as when I played 20sum years ago. He gets 1 and 2 and a few 3 star recruits (Mike Hass was a walk-on) and makes them play like 4 star and 5 star players.

Riley's personality bugs the shit out of me, but that is because I'm type A. I like coaches that show a little passion on the sideline and fire and brimstone when needed. But considering what he has done and where he is coaching, Mike Riley is a damn good football coach.

Worst "big name coaches" = Weiss, Tressel and Francione

WEISS: Tom Brady and Bill Belichick made him $30 million. He needs to rip off the Catholics, buy an island near Hawaii and partake in Sumo wrestling.

TRESSEL: Tressel is the coach who said that the PUNT is the most important play in a game ... he owes the little sisters of the Big Ten as much as Weiss owes Brady and Belichick. How does this guy have a National Championship? (OH I forgot, the answer: A BOGUS pass interference call)

FRANCIONE: He is just plain awful.
