I am sure it depends on the book but I would say smaller books would have you on alert if you consistenly played $500 a play and bigger books 1k. Maybe a little less but just my opinion.

average might be as low as $40 or so. I think there are a lot of very small bets made.

This is something I've always wondered. My first year betting, I had a bankroll of $600, all in BOS, and bet $10-$20 a play. I remember calling in my first $100 bet, and I was nervous. I thought, "wow, I'm a big bettor now."

I really don't know what the average bet would be at a sportsbook. I remember hearing on a Las Vegas radio show that the average bet at Leroy's was $39.

I cant make a bet for less than $100.......Im not a high roller or anything, nor am I pissing in the poor house, but if I cant win at least $100 on a game its not worth my time.

When I started which was like 3 years ago I bet $10 a play for the most part. Now I bet $500 a game usually and sometimes $1000 a game if I feel confident about the game. Like today I got $1000 on the Nuggets -8.5. Pretty sure Nuggets win this one quite comfortably. :103631605

looking for VD on this one...

This is probably who could answer this the best.

Not sure most understood the question: Basically what amount bet by a player on a game starts to catch the eye of the book that this bettor is an above average (bet size wise) bettor?

My answer would be $500 a bet at a big book and 1k a bet at larger books and the books would probably look at you with more of an interest.

Fkn Nuggets, took them 2nd half -7 for $1500. Lakers are going to slow down, they played last night and Iverson is pretty hot going into the 2nd half.
