Who Is (Was) A Better Returner? Hall or Hester?

Is wasn't that long ago that we were praising Dante Hall as the best returner in NFL history. From what I remember he set an NFL record for TD returns in consecutive games. Now along comes Devin Hester who surely is a great returner, but is he as good as Hall was? Is Hall still playing?

Dante Hall was a fantastic returner...

....but this Hester kid is amazing....teams are changing their gameplan based on him.....

It won't be long before teams just kick it out of bounds and give the Bears the 40 yd line....not like they'll score

I'd agree that Hester is better. But, no, Hall did not mainly succeed because "his wedge was fantastic".

Hester - if you blinked your eyes you missed seeing him go the length of the field for a TD. I'd like to know what his time is in a 100 meter dash. Should be close to world class track & field speed.

Not including the playoffs (in which Hester had a TD), Hester has 52 kickoffs for 4TD's and 83 punts for 6 TD's. Combined 10 in 135 (7.4%)chances Hall has 389 kickoffs for 6 TD's and 207 punts for 6 TD's. Combined 12 in 596 chances (2.0%).

Seen em both and am convinced that Hester is the best returner I've ever seen. Hall was great but Hester just has another gear to match his incredible vision.
