a guy who lives down the road, actually he is a vacuum cleaner salesman, went to an estate auction in my area a few weeks ago..... wished i had went but somehow i missed out on this one..
he bought an old trunk near the end of the sale, after the purchase no one could open it.... he had to wait until monday (sale was on friday) and go to a locksmith and have him drill in........
inside the trunk were alot of womens old clothes (as it was a womans auction) but wrapped inside some of the clothes were 2 pistols used by a cavalry man during the civil war....... 2 colt revolvers (i think),,,,,,,, the man who purchased the trunk has already turned down 50k for the pair, says they are worth 75k......
talk about a good $30 purchase........
a couple of months ago, i went and searched for an old Yankee campsite to do some digging for artifacts, as of yet, we are unable to find the site.. ill soon be going to an area, where an old ferry used to land in the 1830's, there was also a reported site there........
