Fantasy football question? Should I start Favre?

I know that he will start this week. But I have already read that they will rely on the run this week due to Oaklands poor rushing defense. I dont really have a good backup, but certainly Feeley or Tarvarius Jackson would get 20+ points this week. Minnesota looks strong lately. Which of these should I start?

PO ya know we have a fantasy section here ya bum. :)

Feeley won't start and Tavaris Jackson doesn't pass that much (nor effectively).

Favre is the right choice. He won't throw as much as normal but if the Raiders are getting burned with the run, they will eventually make corrections and give the old gunslinger a chance to toss it around.

I did not know that we had a fantasy forum at all.

Tarvaris Jackson got 32 points last week and 24 points the week before. Those are damn good numbers. I would be suprised to see Favre get 20 points this week. They will run the ball at ALL TIMES near the endzone.

ANother reason why I am betting the unddr HUGE in GB this week

The Niners defense is actually pretty tough. Don't overlook them. Their offense has put them in alot of bad spots this year but now that the O is finally finding it's legs, they should start looking better.

Jackson is averaging just 18 passes a game his last 2 games and did alot of his work last time out against one of the worst D's in the league. He's a fantasy backup at best.

Pick up Mike Redmond of the FALCONS. Every rookie QB thats gone against the saints D this year has scored 30+ fantasy points.

Its happened 3 times already this season.

I agree that he sucks, but this is the first week of the playoffs.

I cant be stupid enough to take Favre this week when he has NO CHANCE at more than 25-30 points this week.

I have to take a chance that Minnesota keeps his push for the playoffs alive this week. Tavaris it is, thanks for talking me into it

If you want to play one of the league's worst fantasy QBs then go for it, but don't say I didn't tell ya.

Also, Chris Redman is a better fantasy play than Jackson for sure. Maybe/probably a better play than Favre as well.

You do realize the only reason Favre didn't get more fantasy points for you last week was that he got hurt and only thew 14 passes before leaving, right?

Favre has faced these horrible run-stopping teams and put up these stats:

Denver: 20-27, 331 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INT
Chicago: 29-40, 322 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

I know that! But he is injured! He is only starting this week to extend the streak, The team has already said that they were going to rely on the run this week.

I know I was watching the game! That -2 points cost me $175. I tied for first, but he won on the tiebreaker. But with a normal Favre game, I would have won it

I've got a Favre vs D Anderson decision to make this week...

Anderson all the way. Jets don't have the D to stop the Browns. He'll pass more than Favre and has better options at WR.

Choptalk, I will be at Coushatta tomorrow playing in the $550 tournament.

On Saturday is the 1 million guaranteed tournament. They have 2 sponsors for the tournament that will give alot of shit out if they make the guarantee and the sponsors pay the amount to make up the guarantee. They have 175 people that have paid the $3100 to play and I would think that they will only get to around 250 or so, so that will be cool.

If you have the cash, then you should play. Last week they had 375 people play in the $350 satellite for all of the events.

If you show up at Coushatta Choptalk, I will buy your lunch.

Leaving tonight.
These things always seem to happen when im gone.
Keep me updated.
Sooner or later I will be home for one of those things.
Dont think I would be willing to pay $3000 for a poker tourney though unless its a WSOP event.

Who needs the WSOP? This tournament is MUCH better than the WSOP as it stands right now. We are talking about 100,000-200,000 added to the prize pool in this event! It doesnt get any better than that

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap

I have the Favre dilemma also. If I win this week I have a first round bye in the playoffs so this game is crucial for me. I just picked up Redman just in case. I'll wait and see how it looks in the next couple of days then decide on sunday what to do. Thanks for the tip ChopTalk!!!
