Off to reform school ... and an apology

Ok guys, I am going to reform. I have been acting childish for the past few months, and it will stop today.

When I look back at what I have written, I feel a sense of "shame" ... I reread all the stuff in the rubber room and realized I wouldn't want anybody I know (my family or friends) to see it ... and I don't want to take advantage of the anonymity of a posting forum to act like a dick ... which is what I have been doing for the past month or so.

Participating in these childish debates was not even fun ... its pretty aggravating ... and its time consuming ... and when you realize that the people on the other end aren't having much fun either, why bother?

In any case, I apologize again for these posts the past few months and I hope everybody can have a good holiday season.

With this general apology to everyone, I would really like apologize to steak tartar and viejo dinosaur in particular. I am sorry for the nasty stuff that went on between us. I didn't see it then, but I have come to the conclusion that you two are classy guys who really deserve better ... and I take full responsibility for everything that went on in that Rubber Room thread.

So this obnoxious Boston fan is off to reform school ... with an apology to boot.

although I have not noticed the behavior that you are talking about, I can relate to what you are saying.

I have been guilty of this very same thing in the past.
It got to the point of not being fun anymore.
It is so childish to do some of the things that I have done in the past.
It makes no sense to argue with strangers about absolutly nothing.
Lets all have fun and not let us get the best of each other.
I think just about everyone who has over 1000 post has been guilty of this at least once or twice.

i have thick skin cincy. the wars were fun. never were anything personal at all. we can all act like gentleman even though at times we have a difference of opinion. lifes to short we can all move on :103631605

Pat ... I can understand how you would feel ... but for me, it was getting out of hand ... and it was straying to a vicious, petty and personal level.

Moreover, I was not having dialogues with the people of my choice, but with people with whom I would rather not have much contact ... and it truly wasn't worth it.

In any case, I owe you a case of beer if we ever meet ... and you can even have sushi with it (unless the wasabi gives you nightmares of the day you rubbed it on)

PS: Thanks PBR ... your post in that Rubber Room thread (along with festering zit's) was what got me thinking.
