Okay, what are some of the most misused\misspelled words & phrases that you see posted here? If this takes off, I think we may be able to really help some people realize what they are doing wrong. Hell, maybe we can directly or indirectly be responsible for helping someone get a job that they've been after. If nothing else, this should help some of the guys who aren't native english speakers\writers.

I'll start off with the obvious:

There - means "at that place" or "to that place". As in "Over there"
Their - expresses ownership As in "It's their car. It is theirs
because they bought it"
They're - Same as "they are". They're going to do something.

Let's hear some more

(p.s. I know that I'm quite often doing several things at once and not paying attention when I'm typing something up-and it drives me NUTS to see some typo or spelling error that I missed in the first place. I know that I'm sloppy as hell when it comes to "to" vs "too")

Im very guilty of bad grammer on the forum because I dont take my time.
I feel like I need to rush everytime I make a post and mess up.

One of the biggest mistakes is the use of the word to.

Sometimes it should be "too"

Dont say the line is to high.
Its the line is too high.

I dont mind bad grammer and bad spelling.

What I think some people need to work on is the invention of the paragraph.

Break up your sentences please. Makes it easier to read.

loose and lose

I have seen that quite a bit. That should be a no brainer there

Lose-To not win or tie. Present tense of "Lost"

Loose-Not tight, as in a "loose part on a car that rattles"

Woah, woah, Daddy's wrong, Mommy's right.

The phrase is could NOT care less, not could care less. If you could care less, that means you care, and that is the opposite of what you are trying to say.

You don't end sentences or clauses with the words "at", "to", "for" or "from"

e.g, where you at. No, it is where are you.

Drives me f*ing crazy.

LOL, TT. Ace Ace is cool in my book, just cracks me up when he talks about how great the Loins are, and how fired up the Loins are to play
