Getting screwed out of my balance on my full tilt poker account. Here is the story.

1) Get an e-mail from full tilt stating that another person with a similar ip address has done fradulent activities.

2) I deny this and ask what is going to happen to my balance, i am then sent the e-mail below.

Hello xxx,

Please do not make false assumptions about our site, support, or
intentions regarding your account. We have absolutely no intentions of
stealing your rakeback payments. However, we must take appropriate
measures to ensure that further fraudulent acts cannot be conducted from
your computer. Since you have shared your computer on numerous
occasions with a fraudulent user, we will be unable to reinstate your
account until they have resolved their issue with us.

In order for you to receive your rakeback payment, we must advise you
that you cannot log into your Full Tilt Poker account. If you should
log into your account, your account will becoming permanently suspended
immediately, and any player transfers will automatically be declined.
In other words, any possible rakeback payment will be sent back to your
affiliate. Please email us some time after you expect to receive your
rakeback and we will be able to confirm if it has been credited to your
account.

At that time, we can also tell you whether the associated fraudulent
users have resolved their issues. If they have, we will be able to
reinstate you account. If not, we will be able to process a withdrawal
for your rakeback along with your remaining balance of $xxx.

Once again, do not log into your Full Tilt Poker account or it will
become suspended again.

Thank you for your cooperation and if you have any other questions
regarding this matter, please contact us directly.

3) So i do not contact my rakeback place because i believe what full tilt has told me, and today i recieved my rakeback, and after contacting full tilt poker this is the response i received.

Hello xxxx,

Thank you for contacting us again.

During the time that we reinstated your account for the rakeback payment
up until now, the associated user had made several more fraudulent
transactions. It is highly unlikely that we will be able to recover our
losses. Normally, if a player is in your situation and becomes
suspended due to associations, we will be able to process a withdrawal
for their balances and/or rakeback payments. However, this case is
clearly unique as you share a close relationship with this user. This
includes sharing computers, IP addresses, and
making player transfers.

The ePassporte account in question, xxxxxxxxxxx, was involved in
processing these fraudulent transactions. You have used this account on
over 100 occasions. As your rakeback payment was to be processed to
this ePassporte account, it will no longer be sent there as it has been
closed for fraudulent activity. Rather, your rakeback payment will be
used to partially compensate for the losses we have incurred.

While you may believe that this is unfair as you were not the one who
engaged in fraudulent activity, please understand that your rakeback is
but a mere fraction of our losses. If you are able to convince the
individual with whom you shared your ePassporte account to repay their
debt, we will be more than happy to reimburse your rakeback.

Our decision is final and this matter is not eligible for negotiation.
We will discuss your rakeback payment only after the associated user has
settled their account with us. Until that time, your account will
remain closed. Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

David Y

4) so it looks like full tilt tricked me into letting my rake back place put the money into my account so that they could than take it. Also the fact that they want me to find the person who stole for them is laughable, no one uses this computer but me. I have used school library computers but almost 100 percent of the time i use my home computer.

Can any mods help me with this situation? The rake back was slightly over 1.7k

ALSO my epassporte account is not closed, and i still have no idea what they mean by that, and of course they now just ignore my e-mails and questions.

I have no reason to think that you are making this up....(no reason to believe you also)

But go to 2+2, and there are a few members from FTP (FTPdoug comes to mind) and they will help you more than we can (I have never seen a FTP ad up here)

Also what i don't understand is why Full Tilt closed my account right away, but let the fraud make more purchases?

New Money

New Money, in all honesty you need to go to one of the poker forum websites and ask for help. Secruity at Full Tilt will not even talk to us if we are trying to represent a player who is under investigation of any sort.

My advice is to try the 2+2 Forum. They may be able to get somewhere as they specialise in poker disputes.

lol at that player transfer. Actually it was a $5 transfer from him to me.

he told me on the player chat, "I like the way you play and for some reason sent you $5."

he did this because he would laugh at all the beggers asking the bigger game players for money.

He was another high level player 500-1000 heads up sit and gos, and there is no way to block a transfer, as full tilt first puts it in process mode, and the just puts it into your account.

i guess i could have sent it back, but that would have probably not solved anything.

do you think you were scammed by someone or is the poker room ripping you off? How much was the rakeback that you were expecting?

well, the player is not taking my 1.7k.

I believe the player who sent me money screwed them, and to tell you the truth i really don;t care. i just hate that for

1) they left that players account open to screw them over more, after they had closed mine.

2) That if one player rips them off they think ripping another player off who has any connection is the right thing to do.

3) they lied to me about getting my rack back back, so that my rake back place would put it in my account and then they would steal it. Otherwise i would have contacted my rake back place and would have told them to send me a check.

It is just funny that when i mentioned i had rake back coming that they re-opened to accept it, and then once it came closed it again.

There is no way to defend how they mutilplied me.

rakeback was 1.7k

all good points. I hope you get somewhere with it
Very unusual tactic for them and I am surprised they are pissy over 1.7k. How are they out money at all? Are the implying that they had to refund other accounts that got scammed? I don't see how they are out anything?

New Money, i would post in the Internet Gambling Forum over at 2p2. Valid claims usually get some sort of response from an FTP representative like FTPSean or FTPdoug. POsting here is nice, but its really not going to get you anywhere.

I'm not saying you're lying, but how do you defend this? Also, Full Tilt is not just going t0 screw someone to be screwing them. 1.7k is nothing to them. It is my belief that they are the most standup operation of any poker room. Sure they will make mistakes and I hope this works out for you, but how do you defend this?

You seem pretty unconcerned about the "person" that screwed you over , but are really concerned about full tilts response. I play a lot of poker and have never, ever had anybody offer or transfer money to me.
