If you made an offensive line like Minnesota's with every category at 100, Curtis Enis would look like Adrian Peterson behind it.

not so much. perhaps you didnt see those highlights, but there isnt a run in there that enis could make. you see what peterson did to that db? whats the huge difference b/w minns oline this year and last year?

Peterson is a very good back behind a great offensive line. If Chester freaking Taylor is pumping out 5 yards a carry, the Oline is amazing.

i believe that last year behind that line he was averaging 4.0 ypc. this year...well....perhaps peterson has learned the boy a few things. best back ever. hes 6-2, 220, and he shakes people like brain westbrook. hes got hr speed that not many in the league have. he can run over any s in the league. hes got it all.

PS, the difference between Peterson and Taylor is that both guys can pick up big yards hitting the hole, but once through that hole, Peterson can still make guys miss. I feel confident saying Reggie Bush could put up the same or possibly even more yards than AP has behind that Minnesota line. If Bush has a hole and gets the defenders in the open like AP does, I don't know if anyone is more dangerous. Too bad he doesn't have that first hole with the Saints...

peterson sets the single game nfl record for rushing yards, he is on a record setting pace as far as ypc in a single season, and you compared him to reggie bush? man jake....i love ya bro but sometimes...

Look at the holes Bush has had to run through this year and then look at the holes Peterson has had to run through this year... then get back to me. Reggie has nowhere to go. Peterson has big holes and gets in space. Big difference. Reggie Bush showed in college what he could do with an offensive line that gave him a hole and got him into space.

reggie bush showed us what he can do against washington state, not nfl teams. arent you the same young man that said look how good car was in college and then called him the most underrated player in the nfl?

Adrian Peterson got stopped by Boise St. Reggie Bush ran wild against Washington who beat Boise St this year. Just food for thought.

RB success has more to do with offensive line play than anything else. IMO, that's the #1 factor. That is why guys look great one year then go to a crappy team and can't get a yard to save their lives. IE Emmitt Smith and Edge James.

uh what? that was not food for any thought, that was crap for toilet.

peterson was not 100% until well after the nfl draft, thanks for the thoughts though. obviously the oline is a factor in the passing and running game, but to suggest that reggie bush would be setting nfl records this year, if he was a viking, is ridiculous.

Shaun Alexander sure has looked good since Hutchinson left. Must just be a fluke. Larry Johnson has looked awesome this year when his future HOF lineman retired. Oh, must just be a random occurence. How many times do people need to see this type of thing happen before they realize that the OLine makes the RB?

Also, yea my last post was nonsense but still, how come Adrian Peterson couldn't dominate against the Big12 but can dominate in the NFL? Almost 1.5 more yards per carry... Is the Big12 better than the NFL?

None. I know Peterson's your boy but Chester Taylor had 1200+ rushing yards and almost 300 yards receiving last year in 15 games. That is an awesome 1-2 punch. And Tavaris Jackson is starting to play better too.

Hell must be freezing over because I'm actually agreeing with mofome. Taylor is a decent back, but AP is head and shoulders better. I'm not sure if he's better than LT, but they are 1/2 in my opinion. Best ever? Only time will tell, but he's off to a good start. I never got the chance to watch Gale Sayers play, but my old man continues to say that AP reminds him of Sayers. He also says that barring injuries, Sayers might have been the best ever...so maybe mofo has an argument.

Lets have this discussion after 2 or 3 years. AP is injury prone and if he can last getting hit by NFL size players I will be surprised.
