Don't mean to be gleeful before the result is in, but this line is dropping so fast and I've always liked Floyd to win the fight....

Currently -190, how low will it go?

I'd be shocked if Hatten can get inside on Floyd and win more than 2-3 rounds...Floyd has a huge edge in reach, quickness and overall ability. Hatten hasn't beat anyone

Please keep betting hatten though....I haven't felt this confident about a fight since Lewis/Tyson when Tyson was randomly only +180 on a rep he built 10 years prior.

(Watch Floyd lose by DQ after I talked all this crap)

I love the way you Americans always convince yourself your on the right side. If the money was going the other way no doubt it would be so-called sharp money but because its going against your selection then its so-called square money. The only reason the hatton price is shortening is because it was inflated to start with, I bet all those taking -220 feel real good at the moment. :drink:

this is such a good post. and im referring to lines 2-4. everyone loves to rationalize line movement for some reason. when guys place their bets, its like they lose all ability to be objective and instead become incredibly myopic. line moving with them? yep, its because theyre sharp. line moving against them? its the squares. its become pretty ridiculous.

Hattan's record is somewhat inflated - his signature wins are Castillo and Kostya Tszyu - and he beat an old and out of retirment Kostya Tszyu - Floyd's record is a list of top shelf fighters at some many different weights it's mind boggling - he as wins over Oscar (154), Judah, Sharmba Mitchell, Diego Corrales at 130 (RIP), Gatti (just kidding), Castillo (2x), N'dou.

The level of competition is even remotely close - no matter what Winbet wants to tell himself - Hatten should have been over here 3-4 years ago testing himself - not fighting those no names in Manchester.

I was going to parlay it but I'm not laying chalk straight

Great Post ! You pretty much summed it up. This is one of the best fight bets available in a long time. Hatton is getting huge action not based on his boxing ability but more on the fact that the Brits are huge fight fans. Anyone who wants to take the time to check out his wins over seas will have quite a list of " Who are those guys ". It kinda reminds me of the easy + Money that was available on the Tyson/Holyfield fights. Tyson had no chance in either of those fights but nobody could tell the Tyson fans that Tyson had been fighting a bunch of nobodys.

I can tear down Floyd's competition the same way you just did to Hatton. Floyd beat Oscar but Oscar is basically retired, Mitchell is shot,Ndou never beat anyone, Corrales was heading to jail and didn't care, and a lot of people felt Castillo won the first fight. Judah? Yeah he has lost the vast majority of big fights he's been in as well. See how easy it is to tear a guys resume up? I think Floyd wins because he is the better fighter. Hatton has fought good enough cometption to be as prepared as he can be though and he was the undisputed champion at 140. He's not a chump.

Then we agree - I like Hatton too - always have - thought this fight should have happened 4 years ago - but Hatton is not a prize fighter - a great figher of all time - Floyd is a great figher - an all time fighter - I think Floyd wins too because he is a better fighter - but at the same time - Hatton has not been in alot of top sheld competition.

No we don't agree. It's always fashionable to take away from a guys win after the fact. The truth is Hatton beat LONG time regining champion Kostya tszyu to become the champion at 140. Even with the fight in manchester hatton was a considerable underdog (2-1). That win alone makes him a "prize fighter". Throw in the dominating Castillo win and there's no doubt Hatton is an excellent little fighter. While I pick Floyd to win because I think he's better, that don't mean Hatton is not very good. Just I think Floyd's speed is to much.

Valdosa,
With your excellent grasp of the pugilist Sport, do you think a couple of timely punches to the nuts will blunt that speed? Hatton can blame his height. :drink:

LOL, couldn't hurt anything. Hatton hit Tszyu in the nuts damn hard and tszyu later quit. Then again Judah hit Floyd low and rabbit punched him to. It did seem to throw Floyd off his rhythm a bit and he admitted as much after the fight. Better not make it look like it was on purpose though, or else he could lose points. :wink:Hatton is a rough little fighter I wouldn't put it past him.

Castillo and Tsyzu were both in the latter stages of their career when he beat them. Saying Hatton hasn't beaten anyone isn't out of bounds at all.....Also, I wasn't even referring to any square/sharp action. I was just simply saying my opinion is Floyd will win the fight and -190 is a great price. Didn't make any kind of proclamation at all that its all square money on Hatton, infact I'm sure tehre is some sharp money on him...
