NCAA 1st half totals market is a mess without Pinny

This is not a bad thing at all but something I have noticed since Pinny decided to quit posting 80% of the NCAA hoops 1st halfs. Even books like Bookmaker and The Greek will be off a 1.5 points on totals, not alot butthey are not all the same numbers.

Have been doing this shopping extensively thing for awhile but dont remember this unstability in a particular market.

I do use Pinny as the indicator on alot of my bets so this makes it a tad more confusing.

Have any of you guys noticed this or am I just seeing things?

* I should add that 2nd halfs arent much better in CBB but violatility is a good thing for line shoppers, so hopefully most are winning.

its a disaster! and less market movement with Pinny not leading the way also. many lines sit at the same number the entire time!

The Duke-Michigan 2nd half total is anywhere from 73.5 to 72 ... amazing.

I have more in the volume area but just doing okay in the results of this, though off to a great start today so far but it is really early with this huge board.

im taking it easy on those. at 1 or 1 1/2 point difference you cant middle with -110 lines....so you have to figure out what side is the sharper side and take the softer line, that is harder with no pinnacle. Id say its more difficult for now and warrents more watching and learning on what books get the sharper action and are sharper on halftime lines and moves.

Ill tell you one place that seems super sharp and that is betonline.

I am just using a few places to grab a consensus line and than looking for the book that is off and betting it. Seems to be alot more volume than normal because of this.

Why would you use Pinny as a barometer if most of the smart money is gone from that book or are USA players still playing there???

i think plenty of their sharp/big money players from the US are still playing there. I feel that this is why they are late on posting lines and not posting lines for certain events (1st half, halftimes etc). In my opinion they are getting beat good by the US players that are still playing there are no longer have Joe Schmo's action to help offset all this "smart money".

NCAA football halftimes were the same way.

today they kept UCLA -10 -103 (other side at -107) the entire halftime when others
pinny had UCLA -10 +116 or better !! , and others moved to 9 1/2 or -9!

and it is not that they are asleep at the wheel , they move plenty and fast when the want to...this place never sleeps and is in no way slow moving...

that is just one example but they are sharp on halftimes in NCAA hoops....

cant forget the credit side, big locals in US who lay off with pinny and offshores who edge some off to pinny...without joe public it hurts their bottom line
