I'm totally for it...In my short time being part of the RX I've run into some pretty compassionate people whether it be donating a potion of their winnings, the orphanage x-mas contest etc...If I told people that some of the nicest people are found on a gambling forum, they probably would laugh. Maybe because most of us have experienced our share of ups and downs..i don't know just curious

I agree with the ups and downs..but my participation goes back to the way my parents raised me and the values that were instilled in me by my folks..and I'm lucky enough to afford to do it and lucky to have a ton of friends willing to help...

Probably becasue our value of a dollar is a lot more skewed than the average Joe who works a 40 every week.

I agree. It's nothing to make a $100 bet. So it's nothing to delay one bet out of the year to give to kids instead of having a couple hours of fun watching to see if your bet wins.

LMAO What are you people smoking. Gambling degenerates will steal from grandma's jar of coins. Go to the racetrack for God's sake. The racetrack people are the worat gambleing adicts I have ever seen. People begging for a race program all over the place.

Now on the other hand I do agree that it depends on the person. I just dropped a 10 in the bucket at Target the other night. The wife says she just gives the change she has left. I said well I think nothing of it to put 10 in a pot at the casino so it even easier to give it to charity for some good.

What V does for the kids is a great thing and to all that donated to help him with that should feel good about themselves.

As someone else said - When you're betting large amounts of money everyday - Donating $100-$200 to a charity, or a good cause doesn't seem like too much when you're betting 10x that amount daily.

I think for me, it is a nice way to give back. I should be doing some volunteer work instead probably, but something is better than nothing so that is how I have chosen to give back this far.
