Bobby Petrino will resign his position as coach of the Atlanta Falcons and is close to an agreement to become the new coach at the University of Arkansas, multiple sources tell ESPN.

before the controversy. i would tend to believe that was a Good player to have as far as ticket and jersey sales. Exciting play and what not. It def. was not that bad of a job.

Bobby Petrino campaigned for three weeks to get the Michigan job. He also campaigned at LSU figuring that Miles would jump to Michigan.

What a low-class no-class act. Just LAST NIGHT on MNF Arthur Blank was bragging on Petrino and telling Kornheiser how much he liked him, how he was committed to him long-term, and how he was going to let him bring along whatever young QB they got gradually.

This obviously caught the organization completely by surprise.

Why does everyone think this guy can coach?

He is one of the most overhyped and overrated coaches around. He was a bad coach inn college, a bad coach in the NFL, and will again be a bad coach in college.
