How do these people have sports analyst jobs. None of them know anything about O.J Mayo. He isn't close to Lebron James right now. He is great, no doubt, but he isn't as good as Lebron.

Makes no sense how these people are so clueless to these athletes like they've never heard of them before these meetings. It is an absolute joke.

Agreed man, but it's an absolute joke. These people are just finding out about these people now? Hell I've known about Mayo since he was in 8th grade. They seem clueless to sports stories. Maybe they are just told to be for the show but it makes no sense.

She said that Mayo was everybit as good as Lebron. Who the fuck is she kidding. Lebron was better than Mayo in high school. No doubt Mayo is one of the 5 best high school players ever, but Lebron averaged more point per minute his rookie year in the NBA than Mayo is now in college.

You don't have to know anything to be in media. But you do have to be able to deliver it on the air. Live. And that's the hard part. How many sharp people do you know that could be great in analyst roles if they could only get in front of a camera. That's a big if, though.

I used to ask these questions too, but I'm beginning to think it is all part of the gig. More controversy = more curiosity. Someone playing devil's advocate = a person for someone to hate. The stupidity of the analysts = people feeling better about themselves and smarter. All this = more viewers & more money.

Totally agree. Come on people, they work for ESPN. They are just playing dumb to set up the story.

Used to date a local sportscaster back in the day. She knew little or nothing about sports, but she was attractive.
