Is it possible to figure out what certain teams will play each other and where? The NFL uses a mathematical formula to schedule and thus it can be figured out when certain teams will play each other and where years in advance. Is MLB the same way?

Don't really know how to word it well, but what/why I want to know is this:

The Brewers play in Boston this upcoming year (2008). After that, when is the next time they will travel to Boston to play the Red Sox? 2012? 2016? Can this be figured out in advance or do you need to wait until the following season's schedule is released in the fall of each year? Thanks.

Johnny,
I don't think there is any rhyme or reason anymore. Could used to predict but look at Cardinals. This will be the third year in a row that they have to make a trip to Detroit without a return trip whch to me is bs. Cards also go to Boston. I see a built in losing streak at this point for my Cards as both in same week.

Thanks Kojak, that's what I was afraid of. I would love to go see the Brewers at Fenway this year but I'm not sure if it will happen. Was trying to see if I could figure out when would be the next chance to do so if I don't make it this year.
