Stern is about 75 years old. The only reason to listen to that show is for Artie. When I found out that Stern didn't even go to Gary's Fathers wake I was floored. His producer of over 25 years and he didn't go. Gary said that he has hung out with Howard less than 10 times in those 25 yrs. He's a self absorbed prick.
did u know why he didnt go to his wake??? it was because his girlfriend fell down the steps when they were getting ready to go and injured herself and he was in the the hospital with her... as for artie, im a fan of his, however, i saw him in pitt and rev bob levy was 3 times as funny as he was... artie can and will be replaced very easily when he finally leaves... trust me if it wasnt for howard, artie would be nothing and artie even admits that... as long as howard, robin, and fred are there that show will be fine... and by the way he isnt anywhere near 75...
I don't hate the Stern show but it has become somewhat stale. Artie is a star. Even if your GF breaks her leg I think you still got to make that wake. Unless it's a life or death thing. Favorite Howard show was when they had that professional tickler on there. Artie was all over him talking about get the ropes and the sulfiric acid. He was claiming the guy was a psycho serial killer.
agreed. the show has become stale. not as many A-list celebrities on his show this year as in years past. i get tired of hearing howard complain about having to be to work for 530am. Then he complains when the show runs long and ends closer to 1030-11 than 1000. i mean the guy takes off every friday on top of 10 full weeks a year. and pulls down about 80 mil a year. howard did pull the wool over everyones eyes when he came to sirius. originally he was going to take "some" fridays off and when he was off ta ta toothy would do a live wrap up show. now they just play the old tapes which tend to bore me at times. But bubba has his live morning showon fridays (at least till 08 when he will no longer be live friday mornings) and this has really turned me onto bubba. also love some of the other programming like Miserable men, Riley Martin, John the stutterer, greg Fitz, etc
sal and richard have some good calls and bits too. other times its just the same BS

I used to listen to O&A pretty regularly, but I haven't recently. I don't know why, guess it just got old. I would rather listen to music than a talk show in the mornings now.
When Lil Jimmy Norton came on to the show for the first time and he was only a temp was GOLDEN, I think him trash talking this one trucker dude was the best. Just heartless and cold and hilarious all wrapped up into a few minutes!
