hopefully lots of suckers in live betting then

Yep -- and I'll be one of them!!

Tell me, is this NFL game only on the "NFL channel," or whatever the hell it's called? Us Time Warner guys here in NYC CANNOT get the NFL channel (and I presume all Time Warner customers cannot). Totally blows.

I could be wrong, but the day after the NCAA championships is hardly a slow day. Usually baseball has started by then and ALL teams would play on a Tuesday. Also, you have NBA in full force on a Tuesday night

Well it is slow in terms of number of games. However, for the square like me, tonight is just as big of a gambling weeknight as usual. An NFL game and 2 NBA games on the dish...including what should be a good one late in SAS/LAL. Plus I am intrigued by DEN/HOU for some reason. Although I will be muting Bryant Gumble...

yes that would be correct

NFL Network play-by-play announcer Bryant Gumbel is suffering from a sore throat and will be replaced by Tom Hammond for Thursday's Broncos-Texans broadcast at Reliant Stadium, a network spokesman said Tuesday.

Hammond will join Cris Collinsworth, with whom he called a playoff game last year for NBC, for the NFL Network broadcast, said network spokesman Seth Palansky.

Gumbel, meanwhile, will rest up for the network's Saturday night game between the Bengals and 49ers. He will work the game with Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk as Collinsworth prepares for his Sunday job on NBC's Football Night in America.

This is the second time in as many seasons that NFL Network has had to shuffle announcer lineups because of illness. Last December, analyst Dick Vermeil was unable to work the second half of a Cowboys-Falcons game because of throat problems and was replaced by Sanders and Faulk.

The Broncos-Texans game will air in Houston on NFL Network and on KTXH.
