There is nothing more unfair than this report.
If you cant have a report that covers every team equaly its not just.
If anyone thinks that even 5% of the people who did steriods are even on the list, you have another thing coming to you.
The thing that pisses me off the most is Bud Selig playing the dumb game, pretending that he had no idea that performance enhancers were part of the game.
He knew this 20 years ago but could not care less because steriods was not a big issue 20 years ago.
If it wernt for the overzelous reporter who saw the Andro in BigMac's locker, all this mess would still be under the rug today.
Its one thing to turn your back on something for 30 years, its entirely another thing to play Mr Rightous when he knew all along this was going on and never did a damm thing about it until people starting putting heat on him.
He is the biggest hypocrite going in the sports world right now.
You cant punish Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens from getting into the hall of fame for 2 reasons.
#1) Steriods were not technically illegal when they took them.
They may have been illegal in the everyday world, but not in the game of baseball.
There is a huge difference in something being against the law, and something being against the rules of baseball.
If you punished everyone in baseball that did something wrong against the laws of the land, drugs of any type, speeding, not wearing your seat belt etc..... There would not be a player who has ever played that would be inducted to the HOF.
So since steriods were not illegal until 3 years ago, they did nothing wrong.
#2) You cant punish the people that made the reports very incomplete list because Mitchell did not have sopena power. All he did was try to find as many rats as he could find to tell him what he wanted to hear.
This is why the list is heavy with Yankee players. The list was not loaded with Yankee players because the Yanks did steriods more than the other teams, its because Mitchell was able to find and talk to there former strength coach who was willing to talk.
The whole 400 page report is based on the accounts of only about 5 people and a bunch of he said she said.
The cat has been out the bag for at least 20 years or longer. As a matter of fact I have a story of baseball players taking steriods as early as the 60s.
The Selig has known about this for decades, the other owners have known about it for just as long, and for Selig to stand up and play Mr Rightous makes me sick.
He is talking about punishing players on this report. I think the only people that should be punished is Bud Selig and all the other self rightous hypocrites that have turned there eye from all the obvious evidence that they have been ignoring for the last 30 years.
