links to state polls are provided in the above link as well

since this forum is at least 75% for Ron Paul, and there are countless posts about Ron Paul actually doing well or even winning this thing, I'll talk about OB Ron's numbers.

He is polling a distant 6th nationally

He is polling a distant 6th in every state except one, NH, where is is polling a distant 5th.

OB Ron is the most overhyped candidate in the history of politics. A blimp is very much symbolically appropriate.

The GOP nomination can only be won by one of three men. Rudy, Huckabee and Thompson.

Romney is already all-in and he is about to be out.

McCain is already well known, he has no upside.

Romney has a VERY GOOD chance at winning the nomination imo

Still think Rudy gets it because he has the best chance of taking NY or California from the Dems

Romney isn't out of it, Willie, not by a long shot. I would give Romney better odds than Rudy, for sure.

Romney has spent all his money already and he is in nowheres ville. Well, maybe not all his money, but more than anybody.

His entire strategy was based on winning Iowa and New Hampshire and hoping mo from those two victories moves him past Rudy nationally.

Huckabee just fucked him up big time.

In the last debate, Romney looked like he may have finally fiqured out how to sound presidential, but I think its too late.

Rudy still leads in the National polls. If something doesn't change soon, Super Tuesday may win this thing for Rudy.

Rudy is not Howard Dean.

How can Rudy survive until Super Tuesday if he gets smacked in IA, NH, MI and SC?

Giuliani lays out campaign vision in Florida speech

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani will argue he is a tested and proven leader in a speech Saturday that seems designed to shift momentum toward his campaign with less than three weeks until the primary season begins.

"If you are looking for perfection, you are not going to find it," Giuliani will say during a campaign address in Tampa, Florida, according to prepared remarks provided by the campaign. "Not in me and not in any candidate.

"But if you are looking for a leader who has been tested in times of crisis, a leader who is ready to lead right now, a leader who has achieved results – results that some people thought were impossible – a leader who believes that there is no problem too serious for American solutions and a free, American spirit … I believe I am that leader," he will add.

In the wide-ranging address that follows the release of several polls in the last two weeks suggesting he has lost his once-comfortable lead nationally, the former New York City mayor will call for continued vigilance in the war on terror, attaining energy independence, and getting tough on illegal immigration.

While most of the presidential field is focused on the early-voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire, Giuliani is hoping a win in Florida — which votes January 29 — will provide the former New York mayor significant momentum heading into the February 5 Super Tuesday contests.

Most polls out of Florida indicate Giuliani holds a narrow lead in the Sunshine State over rivals Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee.

romney isn't done huckabee taking a lead in the polls can be a good thing for him

cause if he comes back to win the state he can be like we gaining our momentum back

without the huckster surge it really got him nothing unless he just steamrolled them major which wasn't happening regardless

he was expected to win and he won wouldn't get any play

or really translate to the national polls where he is lacking

alot of what comes out of the early states has to do with beating expectations..

Rudy and Hillary have the most bizarre political strategies I've ever seen. Overconfidence and arrogance ("I'm the only one who can beat the other guy -- shut up, don't ask questions") will be their undoing, imo.

its all name recognition the state by state polls are more accurate indicators of what's going on

rudy has 9/11

hillary has bill

huckabee has his smooth talking ways as he's obviously the most "likeable" guy of all the candidates if you take him at face value and don't investigate his record and what he stands for

national polls are pretty much meaningless at this stage of the game its all name recognition

So if Hillary isn't the nominee, what then? Is Rudy "the only candidate who can beat Edwards or Obama?" :think2:

Btw, not sure anyone noticed, but Rudy looked awfully intimidated by Nurse Ratchet the other day at the debates. :lolBIG:
