Wasn't one of the main reasons of Pinnacle leaving the US because the main owner has a lot of US business interests? If so, unless he sold and moved on, nothing has changed.

They have to come back or face closing up

I don't think it is that bad, but they have to be much smaller, now. What about Euro books that lost US clients, they still exist.... wait a minute... Bowman's, Mansion

Maybe JJ is right !

Unless there are some big changes in the US, nothing will change.

The US market is big, but it's a big world out there. The asians put us to shame, and knowing Pinny-they are all over that market.

Bigger market, no legal bs...and they'd take on the US hassles why?

(ps....and that's just asia. Think about it)

My guess is that new deals are being negotiated right now under the almost certain assumption that the democrats win 08 elections. Despite the ominous hitch is that pos Repub Jon Kyl (total anti-internet shill for Vegas interests) is squirming to replace Trent Lott as Senate minority whip, I think all parties understand the odds for the new game. I don't know about Choptalk's prediction (especially the 'within a year' part) but it is certain that Dems are more protective of internet freedoms and will make it almost impossible for Vegas to leverage the issue out as a throwaway morals tidbit for the republican religious right vote (I don't think the rel right really cares much about internet gaming unless provoked and whipped up by Vegas shills like senator Kly). Lastly, I am not on totally solid ground with my assumption that Vegas is funding the anti-internet laws and maybe others here are more knowledgeable. Regardless of who is funding, I think the same mechanics are in place.
