I'm looking into doing something but now sure what - I don't trust some of these foundations.

Humane Society is the only one for me. Used to give a lot to the Cancer Society but stopped recently.

When you look at what % these charities are obliged to give its disgusting. I'd almost rather walk into a hospital, find some poor guy laying in a bed and hand him an envelope.

My girlfriend gives alot to the humane society - I was thinking about the Jimmy V foundation - after seeing it 100x I still find him speaking on ESPN very moving - in the past I would show up at a church with alot of toys from Sports Authority - maybe I'll do that again.

Doug, I know you aren't giving to any charities other than the "charity de Doug" - hey, but sometimes life gives you what you put in.

I think the single best place to donate money is the Jimmy V foundation, 100% of the money you send goes to the donation, they dont make any money off it... Finding a cure for cancer is one of the most important things we need to get done imo. I usually donate there or another good idea especially at this time of year is to donate to the Troops who are risking their lives for this wonderful country we are apart of. Sending care packages to the troops goes along way in making them feel at home

Never even thought of that one. Definitely a good one, that speech gets me everytime. Very good choice

Already got my receipt from the Salvation Army. They work in places I won't even go and are the only religious organization I know that is known more for its actions than its rhetoric, which I don't follow anyway (especially the temperance).
