</td> </tr> </tbody></table> TUALATIN, Ore. - Police say a 24-year-old Tualatin man accidentally shot his wife while practicing gun techniques for his new job with law enforcement.
Ryan Osbrink had recently signed an offer of employment with the Clark County Sheriff's Office and was set to start his new job Dec. 19.
Sunday, he was at home practicing drawing his pistol from the holster when the gun discharged and struck his wife, 23-year-old Kimberly, who had just entered the room.
Officers who responded to the call arrived at the apartment and found Ryan Osbrink performing CPR on his wife. She was transported to the hospital where she died of her injuries.
Osbrink's hiring has been delayed pending the outcome of the investigation. The weapon involved was personally owned and not issued by the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
Osbrink, a Marine, is an Iraq War veteran.

Talk about shoot first ask questions later. The thing that gets me is they still might hire this guy.

While mastering the draw gun and shoot technique, this guy still needs to learn not to point loaded weapon at person unless life and death situation.

It does seem odd that the very moment guy pulls weapon and fires it by "accident" wife just happens to appear in front of him.

After what TT posted, it makes me wonder at what point does firearm/weapon safety get taught. Seems that is not a very difficult thing to learn the easy way. Using weapon when needed =good. Playing with loaded weapon=bad.

he's a marine.. what the fuck does he need to practice drawing a weapon for???

I had a marine buddies that could disarm me with a knife and have me on one knee with the knife next to my neck in under a second, and we were wasted..

More proof the great NW is full total ass-wipe morons who want to be cops. At least some of them self-destruct before they get the chance. If dumb were a commodity, the NW would corner the market.

You think you have it bad? haha, check out the bitchy neighbor in the video.
