NBA East versus West power

It looks like the 2 best teams are in the East in Boston and Detroit with Orlando looming close behind. The West is deeper but not better than the East's top 2 or 3.

I know everyone on this forum is in love with the West, but the fact is Boston, Detroit, and Orlando can play with anyone.

Not in the playoffs. San Antonio beats all three of those teams in the finals.

the top of the east can compete with the top of the west. the west top to bottom though is way better.

well a team like Boston could potentially make a run to the final with little opposition and be well rested versus a team like San Antonio that has to wipe out some powerhouse teams. I would think this would give an advantage to a team like Boston although you can't rule out experience. But East have a better chance this year than before I think.
