MFs left me hanging today and, in the spirit of the whole "when you have a bad experience you tend to tell more people than if you had a good experience", I got hosed by Circuit City today.
At the last minute, my wife decides she wants to buy a laptop for one of the kids. She goes online this morning and sees that there's one that she wants at our local Circuit City store, so she orders it online for store pickup today and asks me to do it. It's not the store near our house, but it is one on the other side of town.
So I roll over there after the lunch crowd settles down and wait for 30 minutes for someone to help me. The laptop that I wanted that was allegedly in stock is not and the guy offers me one that is $150 more expensive. No deal. I ask him to ship one to my house and he tells me it will be 5-7 days. No deal again. I figure that I would get some reaction when I cancel my order, but he just processed it without comment.
On the way out of the store, I grab a couple of small items. I stood at the checkout counter forever and nobody even acknowleged me. I should have just walked out the door with them, but I just left them at the cash register and left.
Apparently, Circuit City is doing well enough that they don't need my money.
